Why oh why did i decide to produce this film!!!
I have been banging my head against brick walls for few weeks now, and the reason...
RISK ASSESSMENTS!!
Necessary, but extremely boring.
To allow filming in each location, i have to carry out a risk assessment which is basically a list of everything that could go wrong. It appears that filming anything could result in a number of different hazards, a very Risky Business.
It took me a while to get my head around this entire process, it all just seemed pedantic and very boring. I just want to go out and make films! After getting over this creative strop, i decided to get my head down and finish these assessments. It took me a while, but in the end i got on with it and produced all the risk assessments for each location.
My most hazardous location had to be The Green Park Tavern. The shots we wanted were from inside the cellars of the pub, luckily the pub manager was more than happy to let us film, as long as no one hurt themselves! This location was my hardest to asses the risks as a lot of different hazards could occur. The lighting was quite dim, the floor was wet and the temperature was kept low in order to keep the beer kegs chilled.
Hopefully nothing will go wrong during our filming, and if it does my assessments will remind me of the right procedures that need to be followed.
